About Me

I am PhD Saša Ćuković, postdoc and Marie Sklodowska Curie fellow at the Institute for Biomechanics (IfB/LMB, Prof. Dr. William R. Taylor), Swiss Federal Institute of Technology – ETH Zurich (Switzerland). I played a leading role in a spinal modeling under the research projects financed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Republic of Serbia.
I was Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship holder at ETH Zurich, DAAD grant holder at Technical University of Munich (Germany), and OeAD grant holder at TU Graz and MedUni Vienna (Austria) working on non-invasive diagnosis of spinal deformities.
My main research interests include CAD/CAM systems, reverse engineering and noninvasive 3D reconstruction and modeling in engineering and medicine, computational biomechanics, augmented reality and computer vision. I authored/co-authored 4 books and more than 80 papers. From 2019 to 2022 I was a scientific member of the Institute for Information Technologies Kragujevac, Serbia
In February 2021 I became a CATIA Champion, recognition issued by the Dassault Systems (Paris, France) for a long-term commitment in promoting and using PLM System CATIA.
I am vice-chair of the IEEE Swiss Young Professional Affinity group (Swiss IEEE YP AG). Since September 2021 I am head of the Functional Spinal Biomechanics group (FSB) at the Laboratory for Movement Biomechanics (LMB), ETH Zurich.
